Wernis wicker shopping basket with gray trim and handle TheWickerStories

An elegant, spacious wicker basket in an oval shape, distinguished by a tight, even weave and a warm brown wicker tone. A sturdy, arched handle ensures comfortable carrying, while decorative bows add charm and subtle elegance. The interior is finished with a carefully fitted soft fabric lining that conceals the edges and enhances the basket's aesthetic look. Smoothly sanded rims and a stable base give the piece a neat, orderly appearance. Dimensions: 43x31 H:22/38 (cm).

Handwoven from selected, seasoned willow. Every detail has been refined so the basket is lightweight and durable and safe for stored items. This product is made in the EU from natural willow according to Polish weaving traditions listed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Its surface is finished in a fashionable brown shade using safe, certified paints.

Perfect for everyday use as a convenient shopping basket: vegetables, bread or small items can be arranged neatly without the risk of crushing. The soft lining protects the contents and prevents small items from falling out, and the high, secure handle sits comfortably in the hand. The basket is easy to place in the trunk, carry home and leave on a hallway shelf. When not in use it takes up little space and can easily be slid into a cupboard.

Ideal for picnics, family outings or summer relaxation outdoors. It easily holds snacks, drinks and fruit, and the comfortable handle makes carrying simple. The interior is lined with fabric that can be easily removed and machine washed at 30°C, helping to keep it fresh and clean. Unlike popular materials such as rattan, reed, cane, straw, water hyacinth or bamboo, our products are made from authentic Polish willow — natural, durable and prized for their exceptional quality and timeless character.
